The world has changed since the birth of modern medicine, with the emphasis on science-based treatment of infertility. The first clinical trials for any type of cancer were carried out in the 1960s and 1970s and were mostly conducted in the late 1970s and early 1980s, respectively. During the 1990s and early 2000s, numerous reports about the potential of Nolvadex (Tamoxifen, Nolvadex) to be used to treat breast cancer were published, including one by the American Cancer Society in 2001 (1). Since the introduction of Tamoxifen in the late 1980s, there has been an increase in the use of Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) as a preventive agent in breast cancer treatment (2). The aim of this study was to assess whether the use of Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) is associated with a reduced risk of breast cancer recurrence and/or progression compared to other treatment modalities. A total of 446 postmenopausal women with a median age of 53 years were enrolled in this study, of whom 4 (0.9%) died of early breast cancer. The overall survival time and progression-free survival time for the entire cohort was significantly shorter for the Nolvadex group compared to the other treatment modalities (3 vs. 1.8 vs. 4 vs. 1.4 years, respectively). The risk of breast cancer recurrence and recurrence-free survival in the Nolvadex group were also significantly reduced compared to the other treatment modalities (6 vs. 0.6 vs. 2.8 vs. 4.8 vs. 2.8 years, respectively). In addition, the overall survival time, time to reach the end of follow-up after surgery and the 5-year overall survival were significantly lower for the Nolvadex group compared to the other treatment modalities (12 vs. 9 vs. 9.5 vs. 6 vs. 7 years, respectively). The overall survival time for the Nolvadex group was significantly longer than that for the other treatment modalities (7.1 vs. 3.3 vs. 3.2 years), and the 5-year overall survival time was significantly shorter than that for the other treatment modalities (8.2 vs. 5.4 vs. 4.4 years, respectively). The overall survival time for the Nolvadex group was significantly longer than that for the other treatment modalities (5.1 vs. 3.5 vs. 3.0 years). In conclusion, the use of Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) was associated with a reduced risk of breast cancer recurrence and/or progression compared to other treatment modalities, especially in women with early or advanced disease.I. Introduction
II. Results and Discussion
The overall survival times were significantly shorter in the Nolvadex group compared to other treatment modalities (7 vs. 7 vs. 5 vs. 5 years, respectively). The overall survival times were significantly shorter for the Nolvadex group compared to the other treatment modalities, especially in women with early or advanced disease.
The risk of breast cancer recurrence and recurrence-free survival in the Nolvadex group were significantly reduced compared to the other treatment modalities. The risk of recurrence and recurrence-free survival in the Nolvadex group was significantly lower than that for the other treatment modalities, especially in women with early or advanced disease.
A total of 446 postmenopausal women with a median age of 53 years were enrolled in this study. Out of the total, 547 (92%) wereata were performed by the cancer registry, of which 285 (23%) wereata were performed by the National Cancer Institute ().
The overall survival times were significantly shorter in the Nolvadex group compared to other treatment modalities (3 vs. 6 years, respectively).
In addition, the risk of recurrence and recurrence-free survival in the Nolvadex group were significantly lower than those in the other treatment modalities (4 vs. 8 vs. 3 years, respectively). The risk of recurrence and recurrence-free survival in the Nolvadex group were significantly lower than those in the other treatment modalities (9 vs.
